It almost seems like it’d be easier to sacrifice for your child like that if they were in that condition. Dobson once said that “when we’re expecting a child we hope and pray that they turn out normal, but then from the moment they are born, normal will never be good enough.” Rather than pushing our kids to be what we think they should be, we should be pushing them like Mr. Hoyt pushes his kid – pushing them through life with support, sacrifice, and unconditional and extremely deep love.
